After growing up in the prairies, I spent 17 years in the Greater Vancouver area raising three kids and working in ministry & communications. As I came to the empty nest phase of life I returned to school at Vancouver College of Counsellor Training in order to become a licensed therapist with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (ACCT).  I am also a licensed pastor with the Canadian Ministerial Association. In 2017 our family moved back to Steinbach and settled in the Deerfield area.

I place significant value on being authentic in every aspect of my life, and also in creating genuine, well-working therapeutic relationships with clients. The goal of my practice is to help others reach theirs, and become mentally & emotionally healthy in the process.  I work using a holistic mosaic of modalities including Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), and art therapy.

Apart from my practice, I enjoy exploring my creativity with everything from art & music to crocheting & building.  I also love to read & research, watch documentaries with my pups, and hang out with my hubby.

I'm Thorin. I am a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier who is hypoallergenic, and who is especially talented at offering emotional support to those who need it. I love everyone and want to offer love and snuggles to whoever I come across.  I'm especially good with kids and very patient.

I like to help my mom in whatever she's doing because I'm a a mama's boy (shhhh) so I signed on to her staff to give that little bit of extra comfort to her clients.  Of course, I have to offset my fur-sister who herself really needs therapy!
